Abstract

Background; Emesis gravidarum is a physiological complaint that often triggers anxiety in first-trimester pregnant women due to the lack of accurate information regarding bodily changes during pregnancy. Objective; This study aimed to evaluate the impact of a pregnancy education chatbot on the anxiety levels of pregnant women experiencing emesis gravidarum at Purwodadi I Public Health Center. Methodology; This research used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The study population included all first-trimester pregnant women experiencing emesis gravidarum with 36 respondents selected through random sampling. . The intervention involved the use of a pregnancy education chatbot for 10 days. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Result; Before the intervention, most respondents experienced moderate anxiety (83.3%), and after the intervention, all respondents (100%) experienced a decrease in anxiety levels. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon Test showed a significance value of p-value = 0.000 (< 0.05). Conclusion; the use of pregnancy education chatbot significantly reduces anxiety levels in pregnant women with emesis gravidarum. This AI based digital tool serves as an effective, independent, non pharmacological intervention to assist mothers in managing anxiety throughout their pregnancy.
