Labor pain is experience physiological that is almost always experienced Mother giving birth , especially during the first phase active . Research This aim For know effectiveness of effleurage massage on adaptation pain during the first phase of labor active Study This apply design pre experiment with one-group pretest- posttest design . The sample consists of 52 respondents , namely Mother giving birth in the first phase active that meets criteria inclusion and exclusion . Instruments measurement is sheet Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) observation for evaluate level painful before and after intervention Effleurage massage . Data analysis used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test , followed by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Research result This show that before intervention effleurage massage , part Mother giving birth experience painful heavy with average value of 7.04. After intervention , value the decrease to 5.23, so that happen average decline average of 1.81 points . The Wilcoxon test produced Z value = -6.316 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Findings This indicates existence effectiveness significant effleurage massage against adaptation pain in the first stage of labor active . Research conclusion This state that technique effective effleurage massage lower intensity painful labor in the first phase active . Therefore that , power health recommended For apply technique the as non- pharmacological interventions in management painful childbirth .
